What this website and Kapatagan tools collect, why, and who else sees it. Last updated November 2026.
This website
- Fonts and design files load from kapatagan.dev itself. Your browser doesn’t contact Google Fonts or other font services.
- Visitor statistics are collected through Jetpack (by Automattic) to see which pages are read. See Automattic’s privacy policy.
- Emails you send us are used only to reply to you. We don’t add you to mailing lists.
Anti Comment Spam plugin
The plugin runs on your website, not ours. It never sends data to Kapatagan. All of its checks run on your own server, except the optional StopForumSpam check below.
StopForumSpam check (off by default)
If you turn this check on, the plugin asks the StopForumSpam service whether a commenter has been reported as a spammer. This happens when a comment is submitted, and during a clean-up scan. It sends only:
- the commenter’s IP address
- a hashed (scrambled) version of their email address
The email address itself, the name and the comment text are never sent. Answers are saved on your site for one day, so the same commenter isn’t looked up again and again. StopForumSpam is run by a third party; see their privacy policy, data protection policy and terms of use.
The plugin adds suggested text to your site’s privacy policy guide (Settings → Privacy), so you can tell your own visitors about the check.
Kapatagan Network
Kapatagan Network is not running yet. Before it does, this section will be updated to say exactly what it receives, and the plugin will ask before sharing anything.
